Staff Notes

H.B 1107 was signed into law April 24, 2024. This law provides for anyone accused of committing the offense of unlawful squatting to receive a citation advising the subject they must present to the head of the issuing law enforcement agency or his or her designee within three business days properly executed documentation that authorizes the person entry on such land.

This MOU designates Cobb County Magistrate Court as the designee for Powder Springs police Department.

All Cobb County police agencies agreed to designate Cobb County Magistrate Court as designee so all cases will be handled the same way in Cobb County.
