Staff Notes
Five detention ponds in the detention pond maintenance program require fencing repairs in addition to the typical annual maintenance. The ponds are located on private property and the fee is assessed to the homeowners in the subdivisions affected. The total cost of the four of the fence repairs is $6405. The contractor is Mauldin & Cook Fence Company. Mauldin & Cook was selected to complete fence repairs for other ponds in the program in 2022.
Spring Green subdivision also requires a fence repair. The cost to replace this fence is between $15,245 and $15,755. In order to allow homeowners time to plan for this additional cost, staff recommends this fence be replaced in October of 2024.
