Staff Notes

Georgia Power Company (GPC) has an incentive program to retrofit indoor building lighting.  This program covers seventy (70%) percent of the project’s total cost.  GPC inventoried the lighting at the Police Department and Ford Center campus buildings.  The total cost to retrofit the lighting in these buildings is $31,520.20.  The City of Powder Springs would contribute $9,456.06.  Once completed, it is estimated that it will reduce the City’s energy costs by $13,297.98 per year.  GPC estimates that they will be able to complete the work by the end of 2022.
