Staff Notes

The City plans to redevelop a portion of Powder Springs Park, located on Brownsville Road with a pavilion, improved parking lot, farmer’s market area and dog park. In order to comply with code requirements, the development must show a No-Rise Condition in the floodplain and in  areas adjacent to the floodplain. Dewberry Engineers, the firm that reviews development in the City for floodplain compliance has submitted a proposal for $7000- to review the plans for No-Rise. This is funded from the stormwater engineering budget and staff recommends approval.
