Selection Process -
Staff recommends TSW as the consultant for the Livable Centers Initiative Major Update.
The cost for this proposal is $200,000. City of Powder Springs was awarded a grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission to update the 2016 LCI Study. The award was for a $200,000 project ($160,000 Federal funding and $40,000 local match). The City included the total match amount in the budget.
Selection Process
The committee consisted of Tina Garver, Community Development Director, Yanni Spanoudakis, Engineering and Stormwater Services Director, Johnnie Purify, Planning and Zoning Commission Chair, Lillie Read and Ladson Haddow, DDA consultants.
The evaluation scoring system is outlined below.
a) Consultant's understanding and approach to the City's required tasks and needs as
demonstrated in the Consultant's response to the scope of services. (25 points)
b) Consultant's experience with similar projects comparable in type, size, and complexity. (25
points)
c) Qualifications of the Consultant's staff assigned to perform the work with this project. (20
points)
d) Demonstrated ability of the Consultant to perform high quality work, to control costs, and
meet project schedules. (20 points)
