Staff Notes

The City intends to submit an application to the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency for funding under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program to implement a weather radio distribution program focused on vulnerable populations. If awarded, the grant will provide federal funding for 75% of total project costs and the City will be required to provide a 25% local match. This resolution will show the City’s support of the application and commitment to providing the local funding match.
